Dilyana has been accepted to feature in the upcoming Lark Craft publiction - Chains Chains Chains.
The book will appear in the stores in the fall of 2011 so keep an eye for it.

New collection

Dilyana starts work on a new collection which will be launched at the BCTF at Harrogate (3-5 April)

The Cable Tree Project

I was involved in a project by BTCV Vinvolved an organisation which provides exciting volunteering opportunities for young people aged 16-25 covering the whole of the Dudley Borough to create a Cable Tree message board for Summit House Support - a charity providing a safe environment for people affected by and living with HIV/AIDS in Dudley and Sandwell.
It happened on 21 January with a group of six very hard working volunteers from the Glasshouse College in Stourbridge. My role was to provide them with artistic guidance, teach them new skills and inspire them to see and use materials in a new conext.

FLUX Private View

FLUX - meet the designers

As part of FLUX exhibition, I will be at MAC on Saturday 4 December between 12 and 3pm where you could come and find out more about my work and inspirations and ask questions about my jewellery. Hope to see you there!

Only a few days to go until FLUX opens

After such a long night and a very early morning on Monday - all the displays and jewellery was finished!

I enjoy the moment of setting up an exhibition and trying to find a memorable way of displaying the jewellery, a way which will not distract but emphasise the beauty of it. Here is a little preview what to expect at FLUX where I will be exhibiting pieces which have never been seen before -  made especially for the exhibition. Only a few days to go until is all open - make a note in your diary and don't forget to be at MAC, Birmingham on Saturday 27 November! It will be an amazing exhibition!

Busy athmosphere and a wonderful venue and the best of all is having to make people smile and appreciate the hard work involved in making. Open also tomorrow between 10am and 4pm.

Final touches!

With all the jewellery finished completely today, it's time to think of an amazing way to display it at the Brilliantly Birmingham exhibition at MAC! I like the new look of the building and the amazing exhibition spaces inside. It is one of my favourite places to visit in the city. Having a stroll in the park and be inspired by the beautiful garden.

Getting ready for FLUX

Today is time to decide and select the pieces I want to display at the exhibition. It's a difficult choice to make but it has to be done!

Centrepiece Private View

It was an exciting evening to meet all the designers. Katherine Campbell-Legg and Michael Allchin, Chief Executive of the Birmingham Assay Office officially opened the exhibition with an inspirational speech. Only one week to go before the opening of FLUX - the fifth annual jewellery exhibition of new and emerging designer-makers. It's so exciting taking part in this event!

Christmas Festival

This weekend (20 & 21 November) I'll be taking part at the Christmas Festival at Red House Glass Cone in Dudley. The craft fair runs from 10am - 4pm and admission is free. There will be also glassmaking demonstrations.

Centrepiece

The Centrepiece Annual Jewellery Exhibition started last week at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
I'll be exhibiting for the first time among 30 other designer-makers from the Jewellery Quarter.
It is open every day from 10.30 am to 10pm.
