About + Contact

I was born in Varna, Bulgaria situated on the Black Sea coast. Drawing has been a passion for me from a very early age. The colours of my country and its beautiful nature and the process of seasonal change and growth have always been a big inspiration for my art.

I studied in a College of Languages and Fine Art in my home city where I started to express an interest in Sculpture and creating 3D forms.

In 2001 I moved to the Black Country where I finished my degree in Design and Applied Arts at the University of Wolverhampton. I discovered my passion for textiles and jewellery. At that time of experimentation I was trying to bring the combination of them closer together - taking some traditional textile techniques into the metal workshop.

I think that the future of design is in a more synthetic and free approach where art, product design, textile, lighting, jewellery, architecture and interior design are merging together. I think the way forward is in using fantasy and having a different vision as well as developing the ability to explore and experiment with materials without fear and boundaries.

Nature with its endless variety of forms, colours and textures continues to be my inspiration for everything I make. My latest collection Stella is no exception. I try to capture buds in the moment of explosion into full flowers revealing the treasure inside, morning dew in the hollow of blossoms, raindrops on the string of the cobweb and water lilies floating on the pond.
